Data Science
With three years of experience as a Data Scientist at one of Thailand’s prominent telecommunications companies, Thumthiti has actively engaged in diverse data science responsibilities spanning Big Data analysis, Geo-Spatial insights, Business Feature engineering, and Campaign optimization. Furthermore, he played an integral role in the DataRockie teaching team, offering guidance to aspiring data science enthusiasts and resolving common challenges encountered by newcomers to the field.

Finance & Economics:
Thumthiti holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics with a Minor in Finance. He directed his elective economic coursework towards a specialization in Monetary Economics, reflecting his strong interest in the financial domain. His fervor for finance culminated in a notable victory at the Young Financial Star 2016 competition, a contest that drew participation from 6,000 university students. Complementing this achievement, he achieved success in passing the CFA Level 1 exam, underscoring his commitment to finance. His initial experience in trading encompassed market indices and Gold futures. However, after experiencing losses due to a reliance on technical analysis, he strategically merged Data Science into Finance. This pivotal shift propelled him to pursue an MSc in Financial Engineering at NYU Tandon, focusing predominantly on the intersection of Financial Data Science.

Financial Data Science and Quantitative Analysis:
During his tenure at NYU Tandon’s MSc in Financial Engineering program, Thumthiti demonstrated his prowess by participating in the IAQF Quantitative Finance competition. Simultaneously, he took on the role of educating his team in vital aspects of time-series analysis and Financial Data Science. This collaborative effort culminated in a triumphant victory in the IAQF competition. His research ventures predominantly encompass Financial Data Science, delving into topics such as Cryptocurrency Decomposition, Safe Stock Sectors, Index Volatility Prediction, and the creation of a Financial Dashboard using Dash. Notably, he initiated the Quantstory Facebook page, designed to facilitate the teaching and exploration of Financial Data Science.
